ONE!

I've been pretty emotional the past couple months leading up to my BABY's 1st Birthday!
Examples:
-Walking through target, I passed a newborn outfit and I couldn't keep the tears from filling up my eyes.
-Packing away her clothes that no longer fit. It's so hard to think we will be shopping in the toddler section instead of the baby section.
-Holding new born babies
-Looking at the pictures of when I had Hadley, when we brought her home and our first few months with her.
-Watching her sleep
The list could go on and on.
I have had a hard time coping with the fact that my baby is not so much a baby anymore.

It's unbelievable how fast the time has gone. Really, it's quite hard for me to grasp the idea it was a year ago that I had my sweet babe, but it truly feels like yesterday.

I'm choking back tears writing this.
Why?
I shouldn't be sad, right?

Miss H. is in just a FUN stage right now.
Every day is an adventure. She makes us laugh constantly.
She is so smart. She loves to observe, watch and then copy people.

I never knew I could ever feel this much love for one person.

She is by far the GREATEST miracle that Kyle and I have received.
Being a mom is such a blessing. I love it.
We have our hard days, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

Hadley's Achievements:

Weight: 22lbs 11oz.
Height: 30 in.
-Hadley's vocabulary has gotten so much better. She can pronounce words almost perfectly. She can say: Mom/Mama, Dad/Dada, Papa (grandpa), "DaNaw" (grandma), Hello, Hi, Hot, Juice, Shoe, uh-oh, Tickle, Go, "Nine-o" (Rhino), Tiger, Dog, "KanKoo" (thank you), "cok" (sock), "do" (boo), "Kark" (Uncle Mark), any many more.
-She has to hold your hand when we got for walks.
-She is in 12-18 month clothes. No more baby clothes :(
-Still takes 1-2 naps every day
-Her 5th tooth popped thru on September 7, 2013 (the one next to her top right tooth)
-Sticks almost everything in her mouth..still!
-Throws things off her highchair and then says "uh-oh"
-Fake Laughs
-Loves the bathroom and everything BAD in it. Toilet, plunger, garbage, toilet paper.
-Says Hi to EVERYONE. Literally. everywhere we go.
-Loves attention from people
-LOVES to dance. She dances by herself but always loves to be held and dance. She now dances in circles, dances with her hands up, shakes her head, and does this thing where she grabs her belly or her legs and will do what looks like squats. It's so funny
-She has learned how to open drawers and cabinet doors.
-She knows how to work a click pen
-She now throws fits! If she doesn't get her way she will fall down on the floor & cry, hit her face or bite her hand.
-We took our first family vacation to St. George. We had a BLAST. It was a much needed get-a-way.
-Hadley met her new friend, Austyn Marie. Hadley has never been around a new baby before, but she did really well and wanted to keep looking at her.
-Hadley still has to snuggle to fall asleep. Every once and a while she will fall asleep on her own, but not very often.
-She still isn't sleeping through the night. I know a big part has to do with not being strong enough to let her just cry, and that she is in our bedroom due to the fact that my sister is staying with us in the "nursery".
-Hadley also still has to take a bottle in the middle of the night so I'm convinced that's the main reason why she doesn't sleep through the night. We have tried to let her cry but she just wakes up and stays awake for an hour or so.
-Hadley loves to feed herself. She rarely lets us feed her anymore. She has gotten pretty good sticking items on her fork and eating them.
-If I fake cry, Hadley gives me hugs and kisses until  I am all better.
-Covers her face with her hands and says "do" (boo)
-Blows Kisses
-She now gives closed mouth kisses
-She is a social butterfly. loves other kids, other people, animals, etc. She isn't afraid of anything, which I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing?!
-She knows how to clean her ears with a Qtip (don't worry, we watch her and don't let her stick it IN her ear).
-She loves make up and lip stick/gloss. I bought a cheap blush brush and gave it to her and she is always putting on her make up.
-LOVES books. She is always grabbing our hands and sticking books in them or crawls on our laps and puts the books in our hands to read. Lets hope her love of books stays with her.

11 Months

I cant even begin to comprehend that my baby...MY BABY...is almost one!

When did this happen?

really.

The time has gone by w a y too fast!

My sweet Hadley Shay is so smart. She is such an observer and copies everything she sees/hears.

Achievements:
-Says: Mom, Dad, Ouch, No, Yuck, Hello, boo, Papa (grandpa), hi, hi dad, uh-oh, don't
-Loves to play Peek-a-boo. She has gotten to the point where she plays by herself and waits for us to say "boo". She will cover her head with anything in reach.
-Top left tooth broke thru on 08-06-13
-Always has to hold mommy's hand
-We bought Hadley her first tooth brush and she caught on right away
video

-We bought Hadley her first sippy cup. She loves it, but still prefers a bottle.
-Sticks EVERYTHING in her mouth! sometimes this is quite frustrating!
-She went through a little phase saying "hi dad" to about everyone, everywhere we went. Now she just says "hi" and waves.
-Gives hi-fives
-When we ask her for kisses she makes a kissy sound
-She has started to give some closed mouth kisses, but surprises us with a few open mouth ones every now and then
-Smacks her lips after taking a drink
-She has discovered that she can stick her fingers in things. Her favorite: belly buttons, ears, NOSE!
-Opens cupboards/drawers
-Figured out that when you push the buttons on the TV, it does something. It's really quite funny. She will push a button and then "run" away really fast like she knows she isn't supposed to play with the tv.
-Already loves all animals..but like every little kid, just wants to squeeze them
-Absolutely loves water/bath time. She cries when she has to get out of the bath. She gets all stiff and reaches for the tub. This one time...I gave her a bath, got her out, put her in her diaper, ran to get the clothes out of her bedroom to find that she crawled BACK into her inflatable tub, which still had water in it!
-Got her first real big bonk on her head! It crushed my heart. :( Learning to walk is tough.

-Copies everything people do
-LOVES to be outside. Every time we walk out to the car she flails out of my arms and reaches for the grass and cries until I put her down. She would be out there all day long if we would let her.
-She loves to pick dandelions and blow the seeds off.
-She blows on her food
-Loves to drink out of daddy's camelbak water bottle

Miss H. is at such a fun stage. She is so smart, it blows my mind sometimes.
She is so friendly, she loves to play with friends, aunts and uncles, people at church.
This little lady is my whole world!!

10 Months

After writing a whole blog post about my sweet Hadley Shay, I deleted it! :(
So....Here we go again!

It felt so weird writing a two digit number this month!
Every single day I look at my little babe and can't believe how big she is.

New Achievements:
-Climbs stairs. We don't have stairs at our apartment, but the first time Hadley discovered them, she climbed all the way to the top. She hasn't quite figured how to go back down yet.
-She took her first steps (6 in a row) on June 30, 2013 but really started walking the week of July 14-21, 2013 and hasn't stopped since.
-Says 'Mama', 'Dada', 'Dad', 'Baba', 'Lo' (hello), 'up', 'wow', 'woah', 'yuck', 'no'..she doesn't say them all the time, but it's amazing to see her comprehend and start to really understand what's going on.
-She has been R E A L L Y attached to mom. I can't even put her down for 5 seconds without her screaming or crying.
-Had her first 4th Of July and slept through the firework show, but when Kyle lit our fireworks she cried and would say "dada, dada, dada"
-Points at things/people and then waves
-Pulls everything out of drawers, diaper bag, laundry, etc.
-Went on her very first camping trip and surprisingly, did great! The first night, Hadley and I slept in my parents trailer. She woke up in the middle of the night and freaked out! The next two nights, we slept in the tent with Kyle and she didn't even wake up.
-Top right tooth broke through the gums on 7-16-13
-Love, LoVe, LOVES both of her grandpas!

-Kisses everyone
-Cannot hold still if her life depended on it. She is one BUSY baby
-Loves to be tossed in the air and twirled around
-Jumps all the time
-Dances every time she hears any music
-Loves her daddy even though he scares her all the time. She has just started to laugh when he scares her now.
-Hates her diaper changed. If she could roam naked she would.
-Slaps/smacks everything. (skin, washer/dryer, oven, floor, tray on highchair, etc)
-Still hates her car seat. I can't wait until we can face her forward
-Sleeps on her tummy
-Likes to drink out of mommy and daddy's cups
-Without fail, everywhere we go, someone is talking to Hadley. She is so friendly. People seem to love the fact that she waves and smiles at them. And she definitely love the attention they give her.
-Has been mistaken for a boy more times than ever before?! weird?
-LOVES the water and swimming. She even cries when we take her out of the bath tub.

-Loves to swing!! If I take her out of the swing, she cries & cries like someone just died. She could swing all day long.
-When sad or mad, she jibbers so much, I can  only imagine what she is trying to say.
-Holds phone (or other objects) up to her ear and says "Lo" (hello) or when we say hello, she holds her hand, toys, etc up to her ear. I have no idea where she learned this because I really don't talk on my phone that often.

-When asked for kisses she gives them
-When asked to hand mommy something or 'let me see', she hands things to me.
-When I say no she shakes her head.
-Stands alone
-Opens the cupboards
-Takes 2 naps a day that range from 1-3 hours
-Smiles every single time she seems a camera flash
-Still doesn't really sleep through the night, but that is probably my fault because I just couldn't handle the self soothing.

9 Months

9 months!
It makes me sad to say Hadley is 9 months old.

I could have had another baby in this amount of time.
That's a crazy thought.

Everything has happened so fast, I can't really remember it.

I can't even remember our life without Miss H.
She is such a great blessing.
We have had our hard days but, being a mom has been amazing!

Hadley's 9 month achievements:

-Weight: 20 lbs. 3oz.
-Height: 27 in. long
The Dr. said she is highly advanced for her age (almost walking, talking, etc) That made me feel a little good inside that she is learning so well. Lets hope that's how it is as she gets older.
-Stands alone
-Tries to walk
-Says "yaya" (pretty sure its dada)
-Loves to crawl thru &under chairs, legs, etc.
-Carries things in her mouth like a dog
-Waves
-Claps

-Pinches!
-Plays "Peek-a-boo" by herself with anything that she can cover her face with (blankets, clothes, dish towels, etc)

-Now shakes her head and does what looks like a push up when she 'dances'/hears music
-When she has things in her hands, she squeezes as hard as she can
-Climbs!! (OH NO!)
-Likes to grab, bite and touch noses
-She has learned to scream, not like throwing a fit scream, but just to scream because she can..especially in places where it echos
-Clicks her tongue
-When she hits/bumps her head she looks at you, scrunches her face and says "ooohhh"
-Loves to play with my eyelashes
-We got her a new carseat (front facing), but after we bought it, someone told us they aren't supposed to be in it until they are one year!?
-LOVES her cousin, Cooper who is just one year and 3 days older than she.
-Shares things with others (binki, bottle, food, etc)
-Wearing 9 months, some 12 month and even some 18 month clothing :(
-Still takes about 2-3 naps a day that range from 1-2 hours
-Still not a very good sleeper. She wakes up about twice every night

Miss H. is at such a fun stage...but a hectic stage. I can't let her out of my sight because she is always getting into trouble. I absolutely L O V E to watch her learn new things. She is so smart and catches on quickly. She's the sweetest little girl I have ever met. She loves everyone she meets (almost anyway) and the attention that they give her. She is a princess & she sure knows it!

Mommy & Daddy love you so much Hadley Shay!!

8 months

I know I say this constantly, but I cannot believe that my little baby is getting so big.

I was looking at her today during her nap and it almost brought me to tears to see how big she is getting.

We have now hit the 8 month mark and I am in complete awe.
I feel like I just had my little babe and now we are throwing around the idea of when we should have another one.

Where has time gone?

There are no words to describe how fast this time has gone by. I am just grateful to have been able to stay home with my little love for a majority of her short life and to have been able to see her grow and learn.

Hadley's new achievements:
-Says "Mama"
-Copycats things we do (spit out tongue, coughs, yawns, scrunches nose and breaths real fast, kissy sound, etc)
-Dances to music
-We have tried a sippy cup a few times but it just makes a mess
-Gives everyone loves and kisses
-Bottom left tooth popped through her gums 05-04-13
-Bottom right tooth popped through four days later on 05-08-13
-Loves when we vacuum and sweep. She follows us around and tries to grab for them
-Walks along the couch
-Walks SOOO good when we hold onto her hands. (So sad that she is big enough to walk already!)
-Pulls herself up to a standing position on almost any type of furniture
-Holds on with one hand
-She has started this thing, where she tilts her head when she looks at things
-She has started to look around things (wall, cell phone, etc..if that makes sense)
-We do this thing where we lay her down and do the "parachute" with a blanket. She LOVES it and would do it for hours.
-Hates to have a blanket on her during naps/bedtime
-Goes after every little crumb or object on the floor and tries to put it in her mouth
-Loves to be tossed side to side
-Reaches for and touches everything
-Flirts and then acts shy/bashful
-She tends to like men more then women
-Still hates her carseat
-Takes 2-3 naps a day and they are usually longer than they used to be
-I made the decision to stop breastfeeding. It was kind of hard because that was a special way for me & Miss H. to connect but after she bit me a few times & I went back to work (my milk supply dropped) we just decided to start her on formula. She seems MUCH happier (and full) with the formula.
-Wears 6 and 9 month clothing

Baby Animal Days

Every Spring in Cache Valley, they have this thing called Baby Animal Days.
The name explains it all.
BABY ANIMALS!
fun, right?

Kyle and I had never gone before. We thought this year, since Miss H. was in the picture now, that out little family would go check it out. I
was really excited to see what Hadley would do.

A few days prior the weather was a m a z i n g.
But...of course, the day we wanted to go, it was all rainy and gross. We bundled Hadley up and went to see the babies! And then, right as we were leaving, the weather cleared up again. Just our luck.

She wasn't quite sure at first but then got the hang of it.
About half way through, she was just cold, tired, hungry and had, had enough. We didn't get to see some of the animals because Hadley was causing quite the scene.

So, we just headed home.
Maybe she will do better next year?

Here are some pictures of the animals
enjoy.

6 & 7 Month Update

Man Oh Man!! Where has time gone??
My little babe is now 7 months old & I CANNOT believe it!
7 months! that's so close to a year.
Good thing I am planning her 1st birthday party right now, because at this rate, it could be here tomorrow.

Miss H. is at such a fun stage right now.
It is amazing to see her learn & discover new things every day.
She is so smart!
This month also brought lots & lots of firsts for our little family.

At Hadley's 6 month appointment she weighed 16lbs. 3oz and was 26in long.
The doc said she is just above average on "the charts".
And we went to an appointment on her 7 month "birthday" she weighed 17lbs. 7oz.

My big girl!

I seriously cannot believe how fast these past seven months have gone by

Hadley's 6 Month achievements:

-Sits up like a pro
-Can grab/pick up pretty much anything
-Knows what her bottle & binki are and puts them right in her mouth
-Rolls over constantly
-I think its finally safe to say she has blue eyes.
-Tries to crawl, she takes about one step then falls over
-Scoots backwards & can turn in circles
-Pushes up on hands & knees & sometimes even on her feet

It looked a lot worse in person :(

-Loves, loves, loves hair. all hair. She is always reaching for/pulling my hair, Kyle's hair/beard, other peoples hair, facial hair/chest hair.
-When falling asleep she has to touch my face or my hair
-Everyone says she looks just like daddy. I am starting to see it a little bit she gets bigger

This is Kyle around the same age

-talks & talks & screams & talks!
-fake coughs & fake cries... it's so cute I can't help but laugh
-Loves everyone (from a distance,  but it doesn't take long for her to warm up) and all the attention they give her. Princess, I tell ya!
-Can now sit up in a shopping cart, but we only do that when we know it's not time to take a nap
-If she doesn't want something, she will be sure to tell me by hitting my hand out of the way
-We tried yogurt bites, baby biscuits & puffs on her 6 month birthday. She loved them all.
-She also got new earrings for her 6 month birthday!

She hates when we change them out though so the little white hearts have been in her ears for a while now

-L O V E S to feel/touch everything. She is soooo curious to the things around her. It's pretty awesome to see her little mind at work.
-Gives mommy & daddy kisses. Sometimes even when we ask..so smart, right?
-Her little hands are always grasping something

-We go on LOTS of walks. About 2-3 every day

-We bought her some bubbles, she liked them but not for very long. I think Kyle had more fun with them ;)

-Still loves bath time and has learned to splash!
-Pulls herself onto her knees
-Loves to stand up (with help, of course)

-Ticklish just like her mommy.....everywhere!
-Still hates her crib. We usually make it until 1a.m. and then she ends up in bed with us. (dont judge me, I love cuddling with her)
-We took her through her first car wash. Needless to say, she hated it.
-At her 6 month appointment the doc said she can pretty much eat whatever she wants/off our plate, just as long as its not something she will choke on. We have been giving her tiny tastes of everything. She loves it & doesn't seem too interested in her baby food anymore.
-We gave her a Popsicle a few months ago but that is still probably her favorite thing!
-She didn't do too well with her  6 month shots. She has been pretty fussy& ornery this time around.
-Very vocal.

5 Month Update & My Birthday!

Here is a little update on my little punkin, Hadley Shay!
She is getting SO big..it's hard to believe she is already 5 months old when it feels like I just had her yesterday.

-Miss H. had baby food (sweet potatoes) for the first time on Jan. 30, 2013, she LOVED them!
we have also tried,
Squash=loved
Applesauce=loved
Pears=loved
Peaches=a little too tart for her
Banana=hated
Carrots=didn't like at first, but now she does
Green Beans=Liked, but not favorite
Peas=She wasn't quite sure at first but then chowed the rest down.
then we have tried mixtures like apple, bananas, & pears which she seems to enjoy a lot.
Although, one mixture had Mango and she wasn't really a fan of that.
But, boy, does she LOVE baby food!! We walk to the pantry to get a jar out and she opens her mouth knowing exactly what's going down. Sometimes we can't get the next bite in her mouth fast enough. She just stares at us with her mouth wide open. She is so stinkin' cute, I can't stand it!

-Miss Hadley made another huge achievement....
She can now sit up, ALONE! She loves it!!! She only likes to be held if she can sit up in your lap. It's also nice for mommy because now I can actually get some things done.

-Hadley is now wearing 3-6 month clothes and 6 month pjs (she has got some big feet so her toes get smashed in the 3mo ones)

-She loves to talk and hear her own voice (especially at church when its quiet!)
-She now puts her feet/toes in her mouth
-Along with sitting up, she is always grabbing for things. She is loving hair lately. Facial hair, chest hair (sorry grandpa!), my hair.
She reaches for her toys, burp rags, blankets, the toys on her jumper, etc.
-She can also put her binki in...but I think she is just getting lucky putting it in the correct way.
-She loves attention from everyone around her & they seem to love it too because she just smiles and bats her eyelashes! (Princess or what??)
-She is amazed by other little kids..she just stares at them.
-Everyone has been telling me how expressive she is lately...and how big her eyes are. She is very expressive and makes a whole bunch of new faces
-Her hair is getting thicker. I can't wait until I can put little curlers, clips and ponytails in.
-She just recently started to get that darn bald spot on the back of her head...I don't know how she is going bald with all the sitting up she does.
-Recognizes her name when we call her.
-We got her ears pierced on February 16, 2013. That was a bit traumatic for Kyle. I had him hold her because I knew I couldn't do it. She was a bit fussy to start out with and then we just pissed her off more when the lady pierced her ears.
-She was doing so well at rolling over, but for some reason, she won't do it anymore.
-Slobbers/blows bubbles like crazy! I think she may be getting her bottom right tooth but I am not positive yet.
-She is falling asleep easier than before
-We started  letting her cry herself to sleep on her 5 month birthday..I cried..but she did pretty well for the first time in her own room all alone.
-She has started reaching for mommy
-She finally is understanding Peek-A-Boo! She laughs and laughs. it's adorable.
-When sitting up, she is starting to lean forward onto her knees then pushes off..I'm thinking she will figure out crawling before we know it! :(
 She is getting so big!

On the 27th, I had my 24th birthday.
I told Kyle the only thing I wanted was family pictures & Hadley's 6 month pictures taken.
Of course, that wasn't good enough.

I woke up, went to the living room where I found this little surprise. "The Help" (one of my favorite movies), some of my favorite candies, a love letter on my laptop and an outfit for Miss H. (for her 6 mo. pics) and of course balloons. Kyle loves his balloons. haha!

That morning before he left for work and school I was sitting on the couch, I stood up to give him a hug and a kiss goodbye, so I stood on my tiptoes and put my arms around his neck..I remember blacking out a little bit..which happens all the time..next thing I know, I was sitting on the floor.

I passed out for the first time ever. on my birthday.
Great way to start the day, right?

Then I went and cuddled/fell back asleep with my little princess.
We woke up, got ready for the day and played for a while.
Kyle walked in the door around 2:30. I thought he was coming home early to surprise me. But he just kept saying how he was having this excruciating pain on his right side. I automatically thought his appendix. I kept asking him if we should go to InstaCare or something. Then I googled pain on right side..Kyle had all the symptoms of a Kidney Stone! yuck!
Both his parents have had multiple kidney stones, and I knew if we went to InstaCare they would just send us to the ER. Long story short, we headed over to the ER (good thing we live 2 minutes away!!), Kyle was in so much pain, I am pretty sure he said every cuss word there is. We had to wait for half an hour to be seen. I'm pretty sure that was the longest 30 minutes of Kyle's life.
They took him back to the triage room where they took his weight, etc. As soon as we got back there, his face went white as a ghost and he threw up about 7 times. They finally took us back to a room, got some morphine in him & he started to be himself again. They did a CT scan and sure enough it was a darn kidney stone! Turns out they are hereditary. no fun!
We spent a good few hours at the hospital. I am so grateful that we have family close. Kyle's brother and his wife were able to come to the hospital. I'm pretty sure it was comforting for Kyle to have his brother there. I am also grateful that Hadley was asleep for most of this. Not sure if I could have handled a crying baby and screaming husband. haha!
We had planned to have our siblings over for cake & ice cream that night. We got home around the time we had told everyone to come over. I hurried and made dinner, but my house was still a disaster.
Kyle felt really bad. He even cried at the ER saying he was so sorry he ruined my birthday. (I'm pretty sure the drugs had an effect on him ;) haha).  I kept telling him it wasn't a big deal, I just wanted him to be alright.
The next day he didn't go to school or work. He slept for a good chunk of the day and passed that darn stone that evening. I can't believe that something so tiny can make a grown man throw up, cry, scream, etc. I really hope he doesn't get anymore. I've heard this is the closest they get to what it feels like to give birth, natural birth of course.

Overall, we had a good day.
I love my little family and that's all that matters.

4 months

Well, now that Miss H. is almost 5 months, I thought I'd better update on her.

She is quite the little princess. and by golly, does he know it!
She gets whatever she wants...and surprisingly, I don't really mind.
Is that bad?

There are days where the only progress I make is taking a shower & making dinner.

If I could, I would lay in bed all day and cuddle with her.
unfortunately, she won't have it.

She is just like her daddy in that she likes to get OUT of the house. She can't be couped up all day.

4 Month Stats:
Weight: 14lbs 2oz
Height: 25in.

New Facts/Accomplishments:
-Can roll from tummy to back, but still has a little trouble rolling from back to tummy. She usually only makes it to her side. She loves to lay on her side.
-Loves her jumper
-Pretty attached to mommy
-Wearing 3-6mo. clothing
-Had rice cereal for the first time on 01-16-2013
-Growls
-Grabs & holds onto her feet
-Reaches for things
-Sits up with little assistance
-Likes to stand up, with help of course
-Likes to look out the window
-Likes other people/kids..from a distance ;)
-Loves to go outside/go on walks
(We CANT wait for Spring at our house)
-She still isn't sleeping through the night. The dr. said she can now go 8hrs without eating and that I need to let her cry/self sooth herself back to sleep at night but I just haven't got the guts + she is still sleeping in our room which makes it more difficult. Kyle insists that we put her in the nursery and start the self soothing but I can't bring myself to do it. I'm a wimp! I have a feeling I will be sleeping in the spare bed in the nursery for a while ;)

Miss H. has her hard days but, I love my little angel.
She is perfect.
I love being a mom.

Even though our apartment looks like a miniature version of Babies R Us with all of her toys everywhere. I love it.

I was looking at pictures of my pregnant self and of when Haddie was first born.
What a miracle it is that our bodies can create a little human being.
I stare at her little hands & feet in complete awe that my body made, housed, fed, & created her!

What a gift from Heaven she is!

thoughts

I have been feeling a little down lately and pretty discouraged.

I have a handful of friends that had babies shortly after I had Miss H.

They all talk about how their babies are sleeping through the night, sleep in their crib, etc, etc.
Then of course, everyone & their dog gives me their 2 cents whether I want it or not.

In short, I've been feeling like a crappy mom lately..
Hadley hates her crib & doesn't stay asleep in it for very long.
She has only slept through the night twice (both times at 2-3 months)
I LOVE to hold/cuddle with her (& she loves it too) which usually ends in me getting absolutely nothing done and rarely changing out of my pj's.
She loves to be held by mom or dad which has caused her to be a little attached

But, I have come to the realization.

I DON'T CARE!!

She is my baby.
I am her mother.

I'm lonely
It's cold
I'm alone with Hadley for a majority of each day
I don't have a lot of close friends/family around
&
I want to be with her every second of every day.

She is only going to be this little once.
I only get one chance to see her in these stages, to see her develop her personality, to hear her find her voice/giggle, to see her crawl, walk, figure things out by herself, etc.

I love that she loves me and trusts me.
She is my entire world.

SO..

I will continue to hold her for however long I want to
I will fall asleep with her in my bed
I will give her all the kisses & loves I want to

She is my daughter & I love her.
I am going to soak up every second I can.

I'm not meaning for this to sound like a pity party..

I am overwhelmed with gratitude towards my amazing hubby (who I have been neglecting :( sorry Kyle) who works so hard at school & work so I can stay home and take care of our daughter and still finds time to help me.

I would just appreciate it if the world would stop telling me how to raise my baby.

She is spoiled, she is a princess, she gets pretty much whatever she wants
and right now...I don't care one bit.

3 months

On Christmas day our little punkin turned 3 months old!

I know I say it all the time, but I can't believe how fast she is growing up.
I am excited for her to get bigger and I love seeing her learn new things but sometimes I miss my little newborn.

My parents were able to come here for Christmas. They had not seen Hadley since she was born so it was nice to have them around for a week and a half and to be able to share the Holidays with them.

Hadley had been pretty fussy around her 11 week "birthday"..I mean like screaming and I can't get her to stop. so I took her to the doctor. I thought maybe she had colic? We didn't get to see OUR doctor because it was his day off. I was pretty bummed because we love our Pediatrician!!
Needless to say, the doctor we saw made me feel like we were just making things up. He thought that Hadley had "just found her voice". But if she had found her voice why were there tears streaming down her face? Anyway, I left pretty disappointed..I just felt like he didn't care about us and that he wanted to rush us out.

We left with no answers and figured we would just take it a day at a time.

We went to my Grandpa B's Christmas party on the 22nd. It was a lot of fun but Hadley wasn't having it. She was a giant mess. Screaming and Crying. She wouldn't let anyone else hold her except me. We spent the next few days at my Gma and Gpa C's house so we could spend as much time as possible with my parents. The rest of my siblings did the same.

It was very OVER stimulating for Hadley. She has never cried/screamed so much in her life.
This made me have some major anxiety.

We came home the day after Christmas and she still was really fussy, had a lot of boogers, watery eyes, etc..so a few days later I took her back to the doctor. OUR doctor. He said Hadley had a lot of mucus down her throat, which was causing a sore throat which is why she would never stay latched on when I tried to feed her. He suggested we do saline drops and suction out her boogers and to give her tylenol every now and then (because of the sore throat). We did that, plus more and she still wasn't getting better.
:(
So, I took her BACK to the doctor. I was pretty embarrassed I had been there 3 times in 3-4 weeks but again, we have the best pediatrician and he made me feel okay about coming back and that I should follow my "motherly intuition".

Turns out my sweet little princess has a sinus infection. NO FUN!!!
He gave us an antibiotic and a pro biotic, but to keep doing what we are doing on top of that.
We also took her to the chiropractic office that I used to work at and had her adjusted which I felt made a huge difference. We are taking her back in a few days to have her adjusted again.
So, cross your fingers and say your prayers that we can kick this garbage soon.

Anyway, on to Hadley's 3 month facts/stats:

-She slept through the night Dec 4-5 but I didn't know if I should count it because she didn't go to sleep until 11:30pm the night before.
-She slept through the night again Dec 8-9, but again, she went to be at 10pm.
-She holds her head up SO good.
-She loves to sit up! Whether it is in her bumbo, on your lap, or on the couch. But she hates leaning against you if you are holding her, she pulls herself up so she is sitting up on her own..I am just holding her hips..if that makes sense?!
-Her hands constantly find their way to her mouth which is causing her hands to be a slobbery cold mess and wet onesies.
-She still cannot keep her binki in her mouth for very long
-She has started to really laugh. I absolutely love it. it's adorable!
-When we went to the DR the first time she weighed 12lbs 15oz.
-When we went to the DR the 2nd time she weighed 13lbs 3oz.
-When we went to the DR the 3RD TIME (13 weeks) she weighed 13lbs 9oz
-Tries to roll over. She rolled over from her tummy to her back on Jan. 6, 2013
-Likes to hold onto my hands/shirt
-smiles ALL the time and is "talking" more
-She gets in the zone when we have the TV on or are watching a movie (just like daddy)
-Her hair is getting sooo long and changing colors. She started out blonde, then a strawberry blonde now brown
-Hates taking naps, she fights it and fights it until she finally gives in and closes her eye
-She only takes 20-30 minute naps but sometimes I am lucky and she sleeps for 1 hour!

side note: We decided to bless Hadley on December 30, 2012 at my grandparents house. We, I wanted our families there. Especially because my parents were in town so that is why we waited so long. She cried through the whole blessing but Kyle did a great job.
